How to install
Brands Flow is designed to streamline your Zendesk workspace by providing a fully customizable environment for managing brands and groups. Follow this guide to seamlessly install and configure the app to suit your organization’s unique needs.
Installing Brands Flow
To install the app via the Zendesk Marketplace, follow these simple steps:
1. Log in as an Administrator
Ensure you are logged in to Zendesk with administrator privileges.
2. Go to the Marketplace
Navigate to Admin Center > Apps and Integrations > Marketplace.
3. Search for Brands Flow
Use the search bar in the Marketplace to locate “Brands Flow”, then click on the app.
4. Install the App
Select Install and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Configuring Brands Flow
After installation, configure the app to fit your team’s needs. Only administrators can access these settings.
Accessing the App Settings
1. Go to Admin Center > Apps and Integrations > Zendesk Support Apps > Brands Flow.
2. Click Change Settings to access the configuration options.
Key Configuration Options
Customize Brand and Group Visibility
- Show/Hide Brands: Hide brands that agents don’t have permission to view, based on their associated groups.
- Show/Hide Groups: Hide groups in the assignee field based on the brand selected in the ticket.
- Show Groups of the Current User: Display all groups linked to an agent’s profile, regardless of the selected brand.
Note: These settings do not retroactively affect tickets that already have brand or group fields populated.
Using the Brands Flow Dashboard
Access the Brands Flow Dashboard from the left-hand navigation bar (navbar) in your Zendesk Support interface.- The icon is visible only to Administrators. If it’s missing, check your access permissions.
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is divided into two panels:- Left Panel: Displays all brands in your account.- Right Panel: Lists groups with checkboxes indicating their association with each brand.
Managing Associations
Modify associations directly from the dashboard by selecting or deselecting checkboxes. Changes are automatically applied to the list of associations.
First-Time Access & Data Conversion
If you’ve used the app before the introduction of the dashboard, your saved list will be automatically updated upon first access.- Issue Handling: If any issues arise during data conversion (e.g., missing brands or groups), the app will remove invalid data. You will need to manually correct these associations.
