How to install
Get started with Wrangle
It's quick and easy to get started with Wrangle. You'll want to setup Wrangle first, then install the Wrangle app in Zendesk.
Setup Wrangle
- First, Create a free Wrangle Account. You'll be prompted to login to your Slack workspace.
- Next, Create an Inbox in Wrangle. You'll use this inbox to connect to a Zendesk Group.
- Now, head over to the Integrations Page in Wrangle and click
Connect to Zendesk. You'll be prompted to login to Zendesk. - Once connected, you can click
Add Inboxon the Integrations Page to link a Wrangle Inbox to a Zendesk Group. - That's it! Now you're ready to Create tickets for your linked inbox. Try using the message shortcut in Slack to create a ticket for your new inbox.
Install Wrangle in Zendesk
- Click the
installbutton on this page. - You'll be prompted to select the account you want to install into. Select your Zendesk account and click
install. You will be prompted to login to your Zendesk account if you're not already, and then redirected to the installation page.
- You will need to get your Wrangle API token from the API & Integrations > Zendesk page in Wrangle. Use this on the installation screen in Zendesk where you are prompted for your
Wrangle API Token. Use your Slack User Id and Slack Workspace Id (also available from the API & Integrations > Zendesk page in Wrangle) when prompted. - After you have entered your
Wrangle API Token,Slack Workspace ID, andSlack User IDclickInstall. - Now you're ready to use Wrangle from the tickets page in Zendesk! Head over to a Zendesk ticket and click
Appsin the righthand sidebar. You should see Wrangle as an option. Click on Wrangle; optionally pin Wrangle to your apps menu so you can get back here easily.
Once you create a ticket, you'll be able to see and act on it from within Wrangle, Slack, and Zendesk.
