Support escalations often fail because agents do not include enough context. Receiving teams end up chasing follow-up questions before they can act.

Escalation Guard helps agents submit cleaner, more complete escalations from the Zendesk ticket sidebar. Agents choose an escalation type, complete the required fields, and submit a formatted internal note. Escalation Guard applies routing tags so admins can use Zendesk triggers, views, and automations to route work to the right team.

Escalation Guard keeps escalation context consistent, readable, and easier to route — without requiring agents to remember what each team needs.

Data & privacy

Escalation Guard runs inside the Zendesk ticket sidebar and only reads and writes data through the Zendesk API:

  • Reads the current ticket ID, tags, and (for Pro field mapping) selected ticket field values

  • Reads the escalation templates saved in the app's own settings by your admin

  • Uses the escalation details an agent types into the form only to build the internal note

  • Writes back to the ticket as an internal note, routing tags, and (Pro, if configured) mapped custom field values

Como instalar

  1. Install Escalation Guard from the Zendesk Marketplace.

  2. Once installed, click the Escalation Guard icon in the Zendesk left nav to open the Template Builder.

  3. Choose a starter template or create a custom one.

  4. Configure required fields and routing tags.

  5. Click Save template. Agents will see Escalation Guard on all tickets immediately.

  6. Optional: build Zendesk triggers on escalationguard tags to route tickets to the right group automatically.
